Plesk 8.3 for Windows with PHP 5.2.5 and PHP FastCGI Support
We have just finished installing Plesk 8.3 for Windows, the latest popular control panel for web hosting, by SWSoft.
The update gives us the ability to offer the latest technologies existing within the web hosting industry.
Some of the highlights of the features available in new version are as follows:
PHP FastCGI support – In addition to CGI and ISAPI modes, Plesk 8.3 for Windows now supports PHP FastCGI mode on IIS 6 and IIS 7.
Component updates – Updates for multiple built-in third-party components, including:
- DrWeb 4.44.0.10170
- MySQL 5.0.45
- stunnel 4.20
- SpamAssassin 3.2.3
- PHP 5.2.5
Redirect mail for nonexistent e-mail users in a domain – Configure Plesk to be a redundant mail server for some other host. The redundancy is provided by storing “foreign” e-mail messages in queue while the host is down.
DNS improvement for DomainKeys support – Use underscore characters in DNS records to integrate mail servers with existing DomainKeys tools. DomainKeys is an e-mail authentication system designed to verify the DNS domain of an e-mail sender and the message integrity.
Faster site application installation – Install site applications faster as Plesk will cache database servers instead of finding applications online upon each request.
Mailing list administrator’s e-mail management – Change mailing list administrator’s e-mail address through the Plesk interface.
IIS ASP Debugging Flags management – Manage IIS debugging flags through the Plesk interface.
IIS ASP Buffers – Manage IIS parameters from Plesk interface to allow large data transfers in ASP Web applications.
And many more
Our Customers will be able to benefit from all these features on our Windows Web Hosting packages.
