Have as many restore points (backups) as your Remote Backup Plan allows
The number of restore points (backups) you can have will depend on 3 factors: remote backup storage space, restore points (backups), and disk space used on your hard disk drive or partition.
Each Cirrus Remote Backup Plan includes a specific amount of remote backup space and a number of restore points. The hard-disk space available will depend on the dedicated server plan you purchase.
Because each restore point is a complete snapshot of the disk space used on your hard disk drive or partition, the number of restore points that you can have at one time will depend on the amount of hard disk snap shots that can fit on your remote backup storage.
Example 1: In this example, a client has a dedicated server with a 160 GB hard drive. In addition, he has purchased Cirrus Tech's Backup IV Plan, which includes a total of 160 GB of backup storage space and upto 20 restore points. He has completely filled up his hard disk drive with data, and therefore, he can have 1 restore point (the total amount of backup storage space).

Example 2: In this example, a client has a dedicated server with a 160 GB hard drive. In addition, he has purchased Cirrus Tech's Backup IV Plan, which includes a total of 160 GB of backup storage space and upto 20 restore points. He has used only 20 GB of disk space, and therefore, he can have a total of 8 restore point.

Example 3: In this example, a client has a dedicated server with a 160 GB hard drive. In addition, she has purchased Cirrus Tech's Backup IV Plan, which includes a total of 160 GB of backup storage space and upto 20 restore points. She has her disk drive partitioned into two 80 GB partitions ( 1 partition for applications and 1 partition for his database). She also decides to backup only the database partition. She has completely filled up both partitions with data. However, because she is only backing up the database partition, she can have a total of 2 restore points.

Schedule as many restore points as you like
While the maximum number of total restore points you can have at one time depends on the remote backup plan you choose, you can schedule as many restore points as you want. As a new restore point is created, it will replace an existing one.
Once your first restore point is created, subsequent restore points will only backup changes that have been made since the last restore point was created. This makes the backing up process more efficient since only changes will be backed up and not the entire hard disk space used.
It is important to note that any remote backup created or restored will use up some of your dedicated server hosting plan's included monthly traffic.
