Canadian Web Host, Cirrus Tech, expands their Virtual Private Server (VPS) offerings with new VPS Plans

Toronto, ON – Aug 5, 2008 Cirrus Tech, a leading Canadian web hosting provider, has recently updated their existing Windows and Linux VPS product offerings with 2 new VPS plans aimed at clients that require a larger amount of dedicated resources. In addition to these new plans, Cirrus Tech has revised their existing VPS hosting plans to provide a broad range of solutions that meet the unique requirements of each VPS client.

“We’ve noticed that some of our clients are really underutilizing their VPS while other clients are realizing they require significantly more resources,” explains Mani Aminian, Sales Manager at Cirrus Tech. “Our cheapest VPS plan is aimed at providing a very light VPS for those clients that require minimal resources while our more robust VPS offerings are created for clients that are looking for dedicated-server-like resources in a VPS container.”

The lower end plans are geared towards VPS clients that may want a VPS to use as a testing environment or simply want to utilize Windows remote desktop. The higher resource VPS plans are aimed at users that are thinking of moving to a dedicated server but want to avoid the costs and downtime associated with migrating to a dedicated server.

One of the main benefits of a VPS is its scalability. All Cirrus Tech VPSs are housed on physical servers that have available resources reserved for upgrades. If there are sufficient resources available, the VPS upgrade can be done with zero downtime. In the event that there are not enough resources available, Cirrus Tech technicians will move the VPS to a server with sufficient resources. Because a VPS can be saved as an image file and uploaded to another server quickly, a client will experience minimal downtime. By offering a broader range of VPS plans, clients can choose the solution that best meets their needs. Also, rather than having to pay for resources that are not being utilized, clients can essentially pay for what they require, and in the event they require more resources, they can upgrade their VPS easily.
